Grey Media (WANF) Atlanta News First (Weather Intern) Summer 2026

•  Gained experience working at/ in a news station as a Broadcast meteorologist.

• Built graphics and presented using MAX and Baron software.

• Provided forecasts for the news website along with radio audiences. 

 National Science Foundation (ICECHIP) Internship, Summer 2025

• Gathered observations from a wide variety of hailstorms and hail types across the U.S.

Central Plains and Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.

 Aimed to improve radar detection and monitoring of hail, provide critical ground-truth

information for materials science, and enhance the nation's ability to predict hailstorms 

and their impacts.

 NOAA (EPP/MSI NCAS II) Undergraduate Scholarship Program, Summer 2024

•  Used the Iowa State Environmental Mesonet database website to determine the frequency 

of various Storm Prediction Center (SPC) outlook categories and specific threat 

probabilities for each season.

•  Researched environmental parameters for weak versus significant tornadoes.

 Shadowed Huntsville National Weather Service forecasters during routine, impact, and 

decision support weather operations to better understand the field of operational 

meteorology and how research fits into operations.

 NOAA (EPP/MSI NCAS I) Undergraduate Scholarship Program, Summer 2023

• Researched the use of the AOML Hurricane Model Viewer for Hurricane Analysis

and Forecast System (HAFS) predictions.

 Performed post-processing data analysis of a historical hurricane event.

 Assessed the viability of HAFS in the context of the current hurricane forecasting

•  Provided insight into visualization best practices to help NOAA create useful and

usable products.

 NOAA (NCAS-M), Experiential Training Summer Program, Summer 2022

•  Conducted research on the microclimatic study of Jackson State University and the 

surrounding Jackson metropolitan area.

 Assisted the staff at the National Weather Service Center in Jackson, Mississippi with 

various daily tasks.

 NOAA/National Science Foundation, Geosciences Summer Bridge Program, Summer 2021

• Participated in geoscience activities at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

 Performed research on the physical and chemical characteristics of Maryland coastal 

bays.
